Business Analytics Educators Forum

The Business Analytics Educators Forum (BAEF) is a group interested in Business Analytics education (BAE) and on how business analytics applies in or to different disciplines.

BAEF was created in June 2021 following Christina’s presentation at CABS LTSE 21 conference. The idea that emerged from her presentation was to create a community of practice that could share their interest in BAE and produce relevant outputs to further develop and establish this field which links to several different disciplines.

In a data-driven society assisted by technology development, businesses rely more and more on data to make decisions. The ability to interpret this data is highly valued and increasingly important as we move towards a future where everything is automatically gathered and stored. Nonetheless, across the country, educators struggle to determine when, how and what to deliver as they deal with a different set of skills and backgrounds.

This group aims to open these discussions and produce materials available to all educators, students and practitioners that enable a consensus on the definition and delivery of business analytics across the education sector.
