Maths for Business

To provide a basic knowledge of Mathematics for progression to a degree programme in business related subjects. To acquire an understanding of the fundamental concepts of Business Maths using a selection of real-world applications
Economics

To gain an introduction to the principle, concepts and models of micro-economic analysis. Content includes economic principles and basic terminology, goods type, demand and supply, elasticity, market failure and contemporary issues in economics. To apply this knowledge base and learn basic skills relating to data analysis and evaluation of economics issues.
Introduction to Law

This module will provide preparation for entry onto LLB Law or combined honours degrees. This module will introduce the concept of Law as a subject and the role of Law in society. It will also introduce the principles which underpin the English Legal System, the mechanics of the legal process, justice in a wider sense, and the personnel who administer it.

The module will address the key challenges, issues and approaches to politics as a global activity, and business in a globalised market. It will introduce students to the main ideas, concepts and philosophies that inform the contemporary world order, including the role of international organisations such as the United Nations and the European Union

To provide a basic knowledge of financial mathematics for progression to a degree programme in business related subjects. To establish a firm foundation in mathematical applications for finance and accountancy

An English level equivalent to at least IELTS 4.5 overall with a minimum of 4.0 in each component (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
