Core modules

Educational Research
20 credits

This module is delivered as part of a fully Online Programme. It will provide a grounding in policy and research for educational professionals with an interest in developing their understanding of an aspect around a current issue in education.

This module is designed to equip students with an understanding of the broad context of educational research and prepare them to conduct appropriate research in the 7507MALED Research Project (dissertation) module.

Research Project
60 credits

This module is delivered as part of a fully Online Programme. It will provide a grounding in policy and research for educational professionals with an interest in developing their understanding of an aspect around a current issue in education.

Students conduct secondary (desktop) research for this module. There are currently no mechanisms in place for ethical approval to conduct primary research for this module. Students should contact contact the module tutor or programme leader with any queries about the appropriateness of their research proposal. The 7506MALED Educational Research module is designed to equip students with an understanding of the broad context of educational research and prepare them to conduct appropriate research, both as part of this module and for future postgraduate research (e.g. doctoral studies).
