Modules are designated core or optional in accordance with professional body requirements, as applicable, and LJMU’s Academic Framework Regulations. Whilst you are required to study core modules, optional modules provide you with an element of choice. Their availability may vary and will be subject to meeting minimum student numbers.
Where changes to modules are necessary these will be communicated as appropriate.

Undergraduate degree
Generally applicants should have a 2:2 Honours degree or above in any subject or international equivalent. Applications from non-standard applicants are welcomed who can demonstrate relevant work experience of at least 2 years in an IR related field and an ability to succeed at the MA level.
Alternative qualifications considered
All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to benefit from and contribute to the programme.
International requirements
Other international requirements
Where English is not a first language, an IELTS score of 6.0 (with a minimum score of 5.5 in each subcomponent) is required or international equivalent. Where English proficiency cannot be established otherwise, the Unicaf English Placement Test (EPT) score of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each subcomponent) is acceptable.
