Boma Omuso is lecturer in Digital Marketing with a particular interest in digital marketing strategy, content marketing, digital customer journey/touchpoints, online communities, email marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO). Originally, a graduate in Business Management (1st class) from Staffordshire University, he gained a master's in Digital Marketing (distinction) from Liverpool John Moores University with a particular focus on digital marketing strategy and planning.

Boma’s PhD in Sports Science focussed on exploring the role of online public commitment (OPC) in influencing changes in energy balance-related behaviours. Emanating from this, his research has continued to examine the relationship between goal setting and academic retention/attainment, the importance of social support in influencing students’ academic attainment and well-being. Boma's research interests are focussed on how theories in social psychology can be applied in a digital context to change health-related behaviours.

With over 15 years of practical experience in Digital Marketing, Boma has been successful in supporting business to utilise websites, social media, search engines, and other digital means to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Boma also has many years of experience in leveraging the power of digital marketing as a primary tool for building, maintaining, and enhancing a brand’s presence and perception online.

As a committed educator, Boma has taught across various modules including Digital Marketing, Marketing, Foundations of Marketing, Research Methods, Academic Skills and Digital Literacy, and Business Consultancy. He supervises dissertations projects for Sports Business final year students working on topics ranging from fan engagement to the influence of sports sponsorship. He is an Associate Fellow of the HEA (AFHEA) which provides international across the higher education sector in the UK, and increasingly internationally, as confirmation of knowledge, skills and experience gained in teaching and learning.

He is currently the Alumni Coordinator for postgraduate studies at Liverpool Business School, a role which involves coordinating events, facilitating networking opportunities, and supporting the institution's overall advancement efforts.
