As a lecturer in practice learning with 18 years’ experience in critical care nursing and 2 years in nurse education in NHS, I'm passionate about teaching, supporting, and empowering future registered nurses. My current role in practice learning team offers a unique blend of supporting nursing students in practice and academia. I'm committed to enhancing student’s placement experience as academic link, academic assessor, and practice assessor. I enjoy teaching on professional values, nursing expectations, professional well-being, displaced professionals, and quality improvement. As a Professional Nurse Advocate, I find great joy in providing restorative clinical supervision and witnessing the growth of resilience within students and nursing workforce.

The session was resounding success, with everyone actively participating in the discussion sharing valuable insights on how to best support international nurses within NHS to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. The importance of staff wellbeing, embracing inclusion and fostering diversity were also key topics explored during the event. One of the key takeaways from the session was the surprising revelation of the numerous struggles and challenges International nurses often encounter during their transition to becoming NMC registered nurses.
