I joined the Mersey Regional Ambulance Service in 2001 as an ambulance technician, and later became a paramedic with the North West Ambulance Service after successfully passing my paramedic Science Diploma @ LJMU. I am still a paramedic and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
After supporting the paramedic program @ LJMU for many years, an opportunity arose to join the Simulation team within the school of nursing and allied health at John Moores University.
I am currently a clinical skills tutor, teaching a wide range of practical/clinical skills to mental health, adult and paediatric nurses, paramedics, midwives, and many external organisations that require training.
