I am a registered general nurse (adult), nurse lecturer/educator, a practicing qualified counsellor/therapist, and a mother of a young man with Down Syndrome & special educational needs. I volunteer as a co-opt governor of a special educational high school and am the parent representative for learning disability for Liverpool City Council’s Education, Skills, and Employment Scrutiny Committee.
