Before transitioning into academia, Rob built a successful career in industry, specialising in automotive engineering problem-solving, vehicle design, and advanced manufacturing methodologies. His hands-on expertise in modern manufacturing, engineering standards, and automotive technologies has given him a deep understanding of the sector, with a primary focus on automotive design and development for manufacturing.

Rob has worked with a world-leading automotive engineering company, where he contributed to vehicle product development, manufacturing integration, and process optimisation. His industry experience enables him to seamlessly integrate practical engineering knowledge into academic instruction, ensuring students gain valuable insight into real-world challenges.
