Dr Emma Mulliner

Emma joined LJMU in 2013 as a Senior Lecturer after completing a PhD at the institution. Emma primarily teaches on the undergraduate and postgraduate Real Estate programmes.

Emma’s area of research and interests are in the field of housing studies and sustainable development, on topics such as affordable and sustainable housing, sustainable communities and healthy housing environments, housing preferences, housing policy and regulation. Emma is also interested in the regulation and behaviours of landlords and tenants in commercial property.

Emma has published in international peer reviewed academic journals and has presented at international conferences. Emma received funding from the RICS Research Trust to carry out research on housing for an ageing society. Emma has also conducted several pedagogic research projects aimed at enhancing the curriculum for built environment students.
