Simon Lea

As the Primary Art Subject Lead at John Moores University I have responsibility for the planning and delivery of the art and design teaching sessions across both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

I am a member of the Primary Mathematics Team and I am the module leader for Level 5 students. I have a passion for the use of Artificial Intelligence in Primary Education and recently developed an ITaP for our undergraduate programme which considered the role AI can play within the teaching profession and focused upon its effectiveness and possible limitations.

Prior to working at LJMU I taught in Primary schools across the North West for 13 years. This included working as a Teaching Assistant and then later a Class Teacher. I was the Mathematics and PE Coordinator and also had a keen passion for delivering mathematics targeted interventions for children who were not accessing mathematics at their age range.
