Our expertise

The Maritime Centre supports the training, consultancy, and research needs of the maritime industry. We deliver this through our bespoke packages utilising state-of-the-art facilities.

One of our key assets is our expertise in developing ship and port models for use in the ship-handling simulator, one of the most advanced in Europe. It allows delegates to experience realistic equipment faults and manoeuvring challenges. These scenarios test their ability to respond quickly and effectively.

Theory is tested and put into practice at the Maritime Centre. Every decision is reviewed and compared during detailed debrief sessions. These provide students and delegates with valuable insights and opportunities they would not get elsewhere.
